SECRET VALLEY in the Langdales & Crinkle Crags Solo Mountain Wild Camp

Langdales adventure and Crinkle Crags solo mountain wild camp. Heading out from Old Dungeon Gill I took this fantastic and remote trail following much of the stream bed up the spectacular Crinkle Gill and into the heart of Crinkle Crags. I spent the night in my MLD Duomid tent at just over 2500ft near Crinkle Crags. Amazing conditions at sunrise with a beautiful cloud inversion over the valley below. My return route took in a wild swim at the stunning Whorneyside Force waterfall. I glorious trip to the mountains and one that will live long in the memory. A WORD OF CAUTION - I would certainly advise against taking this route if you are not experienced in the mountains. The rocks are very wet and slippy and an injury in the confines of this deep and remote gill may leave you unable to get yourself back to safety and, without a phone signal, you could be stuck in there for a long time. The exit route is also not particularly clear so caution is required here, too Unfortunately I crashed my drone whilst trying to land, at sunrise. The resulting damage to the camera and gimbal was terminal.
