Incidents of sexual harassment against female students in educational institutions across Sindh are increasing at an alarming rate, forcing parents of affected students to take to the streets in protest. The latest case has emerged from the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, located in Jamshoro district near Hyderabad. The father of one of the affected students said, “We sent our daughter to study, not to die.” The university has formed an inquiry committee, which has recorded statements from the affected student, her father, and the accused professor.
