Ribeiriño, una pulpería serrana madrileña

Ana and her husband, Mariano, run the Ribeiriño grocery store. It's located across from the oldest and most important building in Venturada, a reminder that, in the past, this town was a stopping point for travelers on the road "to France." We're referring to the inn where Ana's grandmother worked as a caretaker. Life has led to her business now located across from that building her grandmother told her so much about. Ana's father had a restaurant in the village of Fuencarral. He retired and decided to start something "small" in Venturada, his wife's village. He's Galician and started making octopus. It was so delicious and word of mouth was so popular that it "got out of hand" and gave way to the most popular business in town. Vicente retired, and the bar was taken over by Ana and her husband, who, interestingly, has mastered the art of octopus, even though he's from Aranjuez, and his octopus turns out delicious.
