From 1903 to the 1920s: A Quick Seawall Walk - 29/06/26
With a foot appointment later today, there was no time for any grand adventures, so I kept things nice and simple. We head down to feed Rufus before running a quick errand in town and calling into Lidl to pick up Mum's bananas. Along the way we begin a new little series, looking at the first of six beautiful Tucks' Oilette postcards from 1903, with the remaining cards to follow over the course of the week. We also step back to the 1920s with a fascinating photograph of one of the railway cliff gangs hard at work at the tracks. A shorter walk than usual, but still packed with local history, chat and a pleasant stroll around Teignmouth...
