Firmware Update CLP/PLC S7 1200 / 1500 Tia Portal Siemens - CLP Fácil
Watch this video to learn how to update the CPU firmware version of your Siemens PLC within the Siemens TIA PORTAL platform. Updating the CPU firmware is important so you can use the new features available. For example, for the Tia Portal V16 platform with an S7-1200 CPU with Firmware V4.4 or higher, you have access to OPC-UA functionality. If you have a version lower than V4.4, this option will no longer appear. So, this is the idea behind updating the firmware so you can take advantage of the new CPU features.
