My uncle actually comes to Ban'o Kogen almost every spring. The reason is simple: my board sponsor—the great Nagano Treasure November Snowboard—holds a test ride event for their new products here every year. So every time I come to Ban'o, I basically do the same thing: try out every single board, decide which ones to focus on for the next season, and compile a summary of each board's characteristics and differences in an easy-to-understand way to share with my classmates. But because of this—and I'm honestly saying—I only ever ski the one or two "fast chairlift + test ride lines," never truly exploring or getting to know Ban'o.
