Dollar Tree Fall DIY Wood Pumpkins

Happy Thursday, Thank you so much for stopping by to watch todays DIY. I made these natural wood slices ( that I picked up for 40% off at Hobby Lobby last week) into wood pumpkins. I love the rustic look to them with the bark and natural wood showing around the border. The Rub on Transfers worked amazingly well on the wood slices, though Dollar Tree packaging showed them on glass. Just make sure if you paint the center of the wood like I did that you have the paint 100% dry before applying the transfer. We're in Texas and it's been really hot so 20 minutes was all it took for them to dry here, which I say in the video. Depending on humidity and temps where you live, you may have to adjust the dry time. OR you could always use a heat gun or hair dryer to speed up the drying process. I sealed the transfers with Mod Podge, which is optional... but I feel like it is going to keep the transfers in the best shape over time.
