Oxi One Sequencer: loading and saving patterns
An overview of how the Oxi One handles saving and loading of patterns. You can save and load instantly whilst the sequencer is running, without interruption. This allows for patterns to be edited and loaded on the fly, giving you a way to perform and manipulate your sequence, rather than just sit and let it play a collection of patterns. It does take a little while to get your head around the saving/loading grid. Once you understand what it’s doing though, it is very straightforward, providing you allow yourself a bit of time to organise the patterns in a way that makes sense to you. When in the Save or Load page, the grid will change to show your saved patterns. The brightest square being the currently loaded pattern. The first four rows (from the top) relate to your four sequence tracks. Any pattern you create can be saved in any of the squares on the row of that sequencer - eg sequencer track 1 on row 1, sequencer track 2 on row 2 etc. You can only save a pattern in the row of the sequencer track you are currently working on (it’s button is selected/lit up on the left). This prevents you accidentally saving the patterns of sequencer track 2 over sequencer track 1 patterns, for example. This is a piece I came up while exploring the options of having the Oxi One sequence an external device like the Roland MC-101, which has its own sequencer. I didn’t originally set out to record it as an ‘overview/guide’ video but I’ve tried my best to try and describe and label what’s happening as I do it. So hopefully you may find it useful. Featured sound sources are: Hydrasynth via Tensor looper pedal (at the start) Roland TR6S Roland MC-101 Eurorack Moog Matriarch Meris PolyMoon delay Let me know if there is anything specific about the Oxi One you would like me to cover in a future video.
