完璧じゃない自分でいい|できない自分を責めなくなる“不完全の美”の話

This time, I talked about the theme, "Don't think of yourself as a failure for not being able to do things." Do you ever feel like you have to do everything perfectly? Do you have to do everything properly? I'm ashamed of myself for not being able to do things. I don't want to show my inferiority to others. Do you ever feel that way and blame yourself? I myself have always been a perfectionist, and I couldn't easily show others my inability or my shortcomings. But recently, since I started talking about my strict side at home and my imperfections, I've actually been told more often that it has made people feel relieved. What I realized from this is that People aren't attractive because they're perfect; rather, it's their imperfections that make us feel closer to them and want to support them. This deeply resonated with the phrase "the beauty of imperfection" that I heard at a talk about Sen no Rikyu. The moon and the sun aren't beautiful because they're always perfectly visible; their beauty is enhanced precisely because they're sometimes hidden, waning, or obscured by clouds. Perhaps it's the same with people. We all have our shortcomings. We have weaknesses. We're still incomplete. Even so, people are moved by those who are earnestly pursuing their passions and striving to live their own lives. It's okay not to be perfect. It's okay to be imperfect. In fact, when you can be yourself, you'll feel more at ease, and those around you will too. I hope this reaches those who are exhausted by perfectionism, those who blame themselves for their shortcomings, and those who lack self-confidence. If you'd like, please share in the comments what you've recently realized is "it's okay not to be perfect."
