Fighter Ace Interview | Bud Anderson | Legends of Aviation #4
Clarence Emil 'Bud' Anderson 13 January 1922 – 17 May 2024 ____________________________________ Bud Anderson was America's highest scoring living fighter ace at the publishing of this video. In his career, he shot down 16 Focke-Wulf Fw 190s and Messerschmitt Bf 109s while flying one of his P-51 Mustangs named 'Old Crow.' While regularly interviewed, few have asked about stories he had becoming a fighter pilot, downing a Heinkel He 111, serving as a test pilot, or flying combat in Vietnam. Here he will tell us about all of these monumental events in his life. In this video, Bud Anderson's actual gun camera footage was used.
