The People's Palace in Damascus witnessed the launch of a ceremony for the declaration of intent and the signing of memoranda of understanding and agreements between Syria and France, in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron. The ceremony included the signing of a declaration of intent regarding the recovery of Rifaat al-Assad's assets, along with the declaration of a comprehensive cooperation framework to strengthen bilateral relations and launch a strategic partnership in the fields of maritime and air transport and logistics. Agreements were also signed for cooperation in the areas of health, development, water, energy, and civil aviation.
