Claymills Victorian Pumping Station 2012
Claymills Victorian Pumping Station with four huge beam engines was put in place in Burton-on-Trent primarily to deal with the waste from the brewing industry there. The coal fired boilers and two of the four massive beam engines have been restored and put back into full working 'steam driven' order and it is run on certain weekends throughout the year. Visit www.claymills.org.uk for visitor information. This short edit is taken from a 25 minute section on a new DVD about fixed steam powered pumping stations by Avalon Video www.avalonvideo.co.uk
