Video Museo dell'Abbazia di Montecassino - tour virtuale (con LIS)

The audiovisual, produced by Hubstract Made for Art, in collaboration with the Istituto Statale per Sordi, Rome, and CulturAbile non-profit organization, aligns with the methodological guidelines of the Museo Facile project, which aims to make the museum experience accessible, enjoyable, and effective for all audiences by breaking down cultural, linguistic, and sensory barriers. A project of the Department of Humanities and Philosophy of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (scientific director: Ivana Bruno), in collaboration with SCIRE (Delegation for the Diffusion of Culture and Knowledge) and CUDARI (University Center for the Disabled, Research, and Innovation), and in partnership with the Istituto Statale per Sordi and the National Federation of Institutions for the Blind in Rome. This synergy has made it possible to offer users three products for the first time: a tour using Italian Sign Language, a video with Italian subtitles for deaf people, and a tour with audio description for blind people. Visitors can select the most appropriate mode and enjoy the fully accessible virtual tour. For this initiative, we thank His Excellency Dom Donato Ogliari, Abbot of Montecassino, and the Benedictine community of Montecassino. The Montecassino Abbey Museum, directed by architect Gabriella Musto, is part of the Polo Museale del Lazio, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.
