Beltane 2026 Festival

Beltane is one of the most vibrant and powerful festivals of the Wheel of the Year. Celebrated on the night of 30 April into 1 May, it marks the halfway point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice and welcomes the return of warmth, growth, and life to the land. In the ancient Celtic world, great Beltane fires were lit on hilltops to bless communities, livestock, and crops for the coming season. Cattle were driven between the flames for protection, and households relit their hearth fires from the sacred community blaze. But Beltane is also a celebration of fertility, passion, and the sacred union of nature’s energies. In this video we explore: • The ancient Celtic origins of Beltane • The meaning of the Beltane fire rituals • The symbolism behind the Maypole dance • The connection between Beltane and fertility traditions • The role of flowers, greenery, and the fae • How modern Wiccans and Pagans celebrate Beltane today Beltane reminds us that winter has passed, the earth is alive again, and the fires of life burn brightly across the land.
