Broadwater farm tower block to be demolished
The Tangmere block of flats on the Broadwater Farm Estate is to be pulled down due to structural faults that have been known for a long time. The structural collapse of Ronan Point in 1968, and the Broadwater Farm riots in 1985 were a warning light, but it has been the Grenfell tragedy that has forced Harringay Council to do something about the problem. They are in the process of evicting the tenants
