With Deniz Baykal's support, a constitutional amendment was made for Erdoğan, and he was able to enter politics. Normally, they used to say, "He can't even be a neighborhood headman." That was the law, that was the constitution. A constitutional amendment was made for Erdoğan's sake; the constitution was changed for one person. Without the state's permission, without the state's approval of this project, no constitutional amendment can be made. Deniz Baykal paved the way for it. If Deniz Baykal hadn't supported it, the constitutional amendment couldn't have been made. It seems Deniz Baykal was also a man of the state. He appears to be in opposition, but what is he in opposition to? He's not in opposition to the state, he's not in opposition to the system; what he's in opposition to is clear. His life is clear, his speeches are clear. He implemented the state's project; the CHP group voted for the constitutional amendment to pave the way for Erdoğan. Erdoğan's path was cleared.
