It is maddening and rather disturbing. When he looks at her, the affection starts to disappear from his face, replaced by stunned silence. Daenerys does not seem to care or decides to keep going. Daenerys: Jon, you cannot reveal this to anyone. It could throw everything we’ve worked for into chaos. Jon: Not say anything? You say that as if it were so easy. I am your nephew, your kin, and you expect me to simply act like that isn’t the case? Daenerys: Yes, if you do this, then the men of the Seven Kingdoms will always see you as an alternative. There were claims of it, and it goes beyond idle rumor. Finally, Daenerys clears her throat and adds her voice. She says that she never believed that Rhaegar had kidnapped Lyanna Stark. If the two of them did have a relationship, then it is because they truly loved each other. That is enough to convince her that Jon is her legitimate nephew. Furthermore, this makes him the last surviving Targaryen, and because of that, he shall become her legitimate heir. All of this proof is enough to convince the gathered Northmen and Vale Lords, who shout their assent, reaffirming their loyalty to their cause. And as they finish this meeting, it seems as though everything Jon assured her is coming through. While things were originally tense between Daenerys and the Northmen, having Jon as heir helps mollify them, even rebuilding some of the prestige Jon lost by bending the knee.
