İhtiyaç Haritası is an online platform connecting people in need of something with those who can help them around the country. In addition to this, anyone who would like to offer a mean to support community can also enter his/her support. The main point of the initiative is that you can request any type of support from veterinary services to school materials and volunteers for a social project. A big map of Turkey pops up on the home page with numbers on different cities, indicating how many need requests have been submitted for that area. Basically, the platform has three different sections:  "İhtiyaç Gir," (Enter a request)  "Gönüllü Ol" (Become a volunteer)  "Destek Ol" (Support others). Mert Fırat, Turkish actor, Fırat was born in Ankara in 1981. He took part in a wide range of corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects and public awareness campaigns. Fırat works with various associations and foundations on corporate social responsibility, appears as a partner in two different projects. Firstly he put the “Sanat Mahal” project into practice with his partners in Bursa. This is a new social enterprise project aimed at creating an art space for the neighborhood and the city. Secondly, Fırat, one of the founders of www.ihtiyacharitasi.org contributes actively to planning and implementing of the project.
