Impact: Iron Hills Trail System, Cedar City, UT

“The journey to build beyond what was here started about 7 years ago and IMBA was in the very beginning planning stages of it all.” Dave Jacobson, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Recreation Planner Southern Utah has long been a mecca for mountain biking, and Cedar City, surrounded by multi-use trails, is no exception. But they’re all at least a 20-minute drive away. Local riders, the BLM, and stakeholders came together to craft a vision of what more trails close to home meant for them. For many, it was riding straight from home to the trail.
