One Time Belief?

Is a one-time decision to believe in Jesus enough, or does saving faith have to continue? In this video, we dig into what Scripture and the Greek text actually say about belief, salvation, and the doctrine often called “once saved, always saved.” The episode starts by examining John 5:24 in the Greek, showing how the present tense of “hears” and “believes” points to an ongoing, active faith rather than a one-time event. From there, we walk through a series of passages (Hebrews 3, Hebrews 10, Colossians 1, 1 Corinthians 15, John 8, John 15, Romans 11, 2 Timothy 2, 2 John, Revelation 2, the parable of the soils, and others) that emphasize continuing in faith, abiding in Christ, endurance, and fruit as marks of true salvation. The video argues that ongoing belief is not a work that keeps us saved, but an attribute and evidence of eternal life in a believer.
