My journey took me unexpectedly to the Northern part of the Northern Cape province and now it was time to resume my original itinerary for I couldn't get to Tankwa Karoo National Park when I got stuck in the river. Driving the Karoo is an interesting experience, and Tankwa is a park where all the extremes of the Karoo meet. Located in a very remote part of the Northern Cape is the perfect place to get lost while driving through a lunar landscape, trying to get close to fleeing animals, enjoying the stunning beauty of the succulents that cover the Western side ground or driving up the rugged Gannaga Pass.
