Chispa Road - West Texas near Valentine, TX

Dirt offroad fun in west Texas. No Audio. GoPro Video Chispa Road is a very long dirt road that starts north of Valentine, Texas. It peels off to the west and heads south to the Rio Grande. The road was in good condition on this day. I think it was November 4, 2013. I stuck a go pro mount on the top of my Ford Expedition and hauled down the Chispa Road one morning. 2:10 is the cut in railroad path. This is where you pick up on the old trail down to the San Carlos Mine. 3:15 you can see the rock quarries on the right. There is a geocache in there. 3:48 you can see Needle Peak - It's on old Volcano plug. 15:40 E. Turrango's white mailbox. This box was still in use by the USPS till mid-2013. I turn east off of the main Chispa Road and head on the road to the Coal mine ranch. I will turn north again before I get to a ranch gate that prohibits public travel on this road. 20:18 Creek dry wash. 20:48 Exit with a North turn 29:11 I turn off the blade path to the 4x4 jeep trail on the old topo maps. 31:00 we are there.
