LOONEY TUNES: ACME ARSENAL, PS2: i don't have a nose review
WARNING: CONTAINS FLASHING IMAGES Okay, first of all, my sincerest apologies for my blurry camera - it's becoming intolerable now and I'm seriously looking into getting another new one. ** Secondly, this game just happens to be almost intolerably dark, so the footage ain't great either, so sorry there, eh. *** Thirdly, before someone mentions this, I meant that the Looney Tunes had been around for nine decades, not Bugs Bunny - it was a poor choice of phrasing. I'm fully aware he's still far off 90. **** Fourthly (that's a word?! It sounds so weird), this was not the initial planned review as I needed more time for another game I'm planning to cover. So TwisterTH, you got lucky this time. :P ***** Fifthly (this is getting ridiculous now), the observant of you will notice I skip over 2 levels in this game. While I have featured short clips from them in the video, I did not think either was worth discussing, and they were both incredibly dark to look at. If you're wondering what those levels were like - they're terrible. ANYWAY, with that out of the way, this is without a doubt the worst Looney Tunes PlayStation game I have ever played. But with an abundance of references to the classic shorts, a decent soundtrack, and some solid voiceover work, is it really as bad as the critics would have you think? Yes. Yes, it is. While there are glints of inspiration here and there, particularly in the combat, overall the game is a sprawling mess. This isn't Looney. This isn't Looney at all! It's just plain bad. There's a lot that's up with this game, doc. Thanks to TwisterTH for your second request this batch! Again, sorry for my crappy camera - I'm going to make it a priority to get it replaced.
