One Life to Live 12/29/1988

At the Fraternity Row studio, Megan poses for some publicity photos. Sarah questions Megan’s decision to throw herself completely into her career and give up her more domestic ambitions. Randy convinces Megan to come with him to lunch with the studio’s landlord, Fred Banks, but it turns out to be a setup. Randy leaves Megan behind in the Fred’s hotel room. At the mountain cabin, Viki tries to leave, but Lysander and Arthur restrain her. She tries to get answers from the men about who is behind this entire scheme. Clint goes to visit Christine, hoping she can lead him to her father. Wade shows up and defends Christine, but Clint storms out, officially firing her from The Banner on his way out. Wade tries to convince Christine to tell the Buchanans the whole truth, including Michael Grade’s role. Roger tells Tina he has more proof that Leo’s archeological dig is a complete fabrication. Tina explains that Viki has gone to see Leo, and Roger says they’ve got to find her. They work out that Leo must be at the cabin. Roger heads to the cabin to try and help Viki. In a cave on Llantano Mountain, Lysander prepares to hypnotize Viki once more, but Leo bursts in and tells her to run before they can turn her into Niki Smith.Viki is unable to escape and Lysander seemingly puts her into a trance. Clint arrives home at Llanfair, Tina fills him in, and he heads to Llantano Mountain. Unfortunately, park rangers stop him and prevent him from getting to his destination. In the cave, we hear Viki’s inner thoughts and discover she is faking her compliance with Lysander. Roger arrives at the cabin and finds signs of a struggle. In the cave, Lysander and Arthur lead her towards a dark figure deeper in the cave, reminiscent of her recurring dream.
