Good Sermon Introductions and Speech Openings
https://www.developingpreachingskills... The concept of a “good” introduction (or speech opening as some call it) is a relative idea. People are different and are motivated and inspired by different things. This means that the idea of a universal introduction or opening is somewhat meaningless. This does not mean, however, that preachers and public speakers play hit and miss in crafting introductions. There are certain general realities that bond most people together. So we must understand and appreciate those things that tend to motivate and encourage people in general.
