In this video, we're taking the brand new card from the Marvel Super Heroes Commander (MTG MSC) set, The Fantasticar, and running it in The EPIC Storm. A huge shoutout and thank you to longtime supporter HXRMN for donating this decklist and letting us play with this sweet new card. So, how does Grixis The EPIC Storm work with The Fantasticar? Since the card triggers and becomes a creature whenever you cast a noncreature spell, it acts as a massive threat that turns your combo spells into damage. Even better, when you cast your fourth noncreature spell in a turn, you can sacrifice it to create four 4/4 flying tokens with haste. This means you can easily bypass classic hate cards like Leyline of the Void, Grafdigger's Cage, and even Null Rod, while hitting your opponent for 16 damage. To support this game plan, we swapped out our green protection spells for four copies of Hexing Squelcher and added Cabal Ritual as the perfect glue to speed up our mana production. In the sideboard, we're running pure Grixis tools to handle whatever the opponent throws at us. We have Thoughtseize for combo mirrors and Boomerang Basics to handle pesky permanent hate. One of the most interesting slots we're testing today is Cave-In, which can be cast for free off a Burning Wish to clear out opposing blockers and trigger our vehicle at the same time. We've also got our classics like Echo of Eons, Peer into the Abyss, and Approach of the Second Sun to help us secure the game when the primary plan isn't enough. Thanks for watching!
