Oxalis tetraphylla var. 'Iron Cross' is a colorful, leafy plant belonging to the Oxalidaceae family and the Oxalis genus. It is native to Mexico. It is popularly known as Four-Leaf Clover or Lucky Clover, but despite its name, it is not a true clover. It is also called Iron Cross due to the purple spot in the center of each leaf. It is typically active during warm periods, going dormant with the arrival of cold weather, during which time it may lose its leaves, but it regrows as temperatures rise. It blooms from late spring through summer, producing pink, five-petaled flowers.
