I don't think there is any shame in that - at least you know it will play in tune! This one is Indian Rosewood - that's what I recommend for a beginner as it is relatively easy to work. If you buy a pre-made fretboard from us, then this is how we did it. Most of the machines used here are way beyond the reach of your average home builder, but if you make a lot of guitars like I do, they are invaluable.
