Balule Camp - Kruger National Park

This video showcase the most rustic accommodation (apart from the sleep-over hides) in the Kruger National Park. Balule Camp has 6 3-sleeper old-style rondavels (round-huts) and 15 camping stands. There is no electricity and guests who book more than one night often give up their 2nd (etc.) night(s) in the warmer part of the year because of the fact that there are no fans, no swimming pool, no air-conditioning and no shop to buy ice. It does however still stay on of the most wonderful camps in the Kruger as there are no large crowds, and no noise pollution (like air-conditioners running). Visitors who are not aware must please take note that there is a Balule Game Reserve outside the actual Kruger, and that this camp has nothing to do with it. Balule is also still one of the cheaper accommodations in the Kruger and ideal for people who want to travel on a budget. Unit 6 is by far the most popular as it is the only unit with a close perimeter view. Campsite no. 5 has the best shade (at the time of this video) and is also on the perimeter. Listen to the deep base of the hippos and the calls of the hyenas some nights, and the fish eagle at sunrise! There is a very slight chance of seeing Pel`s Fishing Owl in the area...
