#mana #indotibetanborderpolice #chinaborder #uttrakhand #badrinath On the third day of our Himalayan motorcycle expedition, we started our ride towards one of the most remote and extreme border regions in India — Mana Pass, located near the India–Tibet border in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Mana Pass is considered one of the highest motorable roads in the world and falls under a highly restricted and sensitive border zone, making it extremely difficult to obtain permits for civilian travel. We rode approximately 60 km from Badrinath through some of the most challenging off-road terrain in the Himalayas. The journey was filled with extreme conditions — high altitude, rough trails, and multiple dangerous water crossings. What made this ride even more special was the isolation — no tourists, no crowds, just me and my friend Manas exploring this untouched frontier on our motorcycles. During the journey, we also visited the sacred Deotal Lake, where I took a dip in the freezing holy water — an unforgettable moment in the middle of this extreme expedition. Reaching Mana Pass on our own motorcycles in such a restricted and high-altitude region is one of the most memorable achievements of my life.
