Voyage à cheval au coeur des Alpes - le tour du Beaufortain, à la frontière du Mont Blanc

Four Belgian riders set out in June 2024 on a horseback journey through the heart of the French Alps, with their own horses and logistical support. On the agenda: 10 days on horseback, a 190 km route, 14,000 meters of total elevation gain, and 8 different accommodations. The itinerary, starting from the Les Saisies ski resort, follows part of the Tour du Beaufortain, one of the most popular hiking trails in the French Alps. The stunning landscapes offer breathtaking views, often with Mont Blanc as a dramatic backdrop. The climbs are frequently impressive and pose real athletic challenges for both horses and riders. With two days of dreadful weather followed by a clear improvement and ending in beautiful conditions, the riders felt like they had experienced three seasons in just a few days—including the crossing of a still-snowy mountain pass. Let yourself be swept away by this high-quality video adventure, rich in commentary. You’ll discover plenty of tips from seasoned trail riders.
