The new site has been equipped with marquee tents, ablution facilities, and additional space to accommodate the growing demand while processing continues. However, concerns have been raised about staffing levels and the pace of administrative processing. Some people waiting at the camps have expressed frustration over long queues and delays, particularly those who were transferred from Durban and have already spent several days awaiting transport. As buses continue arriving from different provinces, officials from the Department of Home Affairs, the Border Management Authority (BMA), and other government departments are working to process individuals and facilitate their return to their home countries.
