Shooting an original New Model 1863 Sharps Carbine: Bullets are from Eras Gone New Model Sharps mold averaging .541 diameter and 465 grains. Cartridges made using the Rios Innovations Sharps cartridge former with copy paper for the body and hair end papers for the base. 60 grains Schuetzen FF Black Powder. RWS Musket caps. I misspoke at one point and said the 1863 added the pellet primer system. Those were featured on several Sharps before the 1863.
