Webinar: Leading CPD for Inclusive SEND Provision (Part 3)

Funded by the Department for Education, this series of three webinars will explore evidence-informed, effective strategies that SENDCOs and school leaders can use to build a culture of professional growth - one that permeates the entire school community and secures the best outcomes for all. Part 1: Thursday 3rd February 2022, 15:45-17:30 - Planning Effective SEND CPD This session will be led by Gary Aubin, Content Specialist for SEND at the Education Endowment Foundation. It will focus on contextualising the EEF Guide to Support School Planning, and the new Effective Professional Development Guidance Report. It will be followed by a school case-study. Part 2: Thursday 17th February 2022, 15:45-17:30 - Creating a Culture of Reflective SEND Practice This session will be led by Dr Kulvarn Atwal, writer of The Thinking School and headteacher of two large east London primary schools. It will focus on principles for developing a dynamic learning community that drives school improvement. It will be followed by a school case-study. Part 3: Thursday 10th March 2022, 15:45-17:30 - Coaching for Improved SEND Practice This session will be led by Dr Matt Silver, CEO of Pathways Education, a national group of SEND re-engagement schools, post-19 social enterprise colleges and deliberately developmental coaching and consultancy services. The webinar will focus on approaches for coaching individuals and groups to grapple with SEND research and new ideas in a manner that meaningfully and sustainably improves their practice.
