*This video is from a fishing trip in June 2025 ⚠️ In June 2025, I went ayu (sweetfish) fishing on the Tsukechi River in Gifu Prefecture! This was my second or third time on the Tsukechi River, and I wasn't having much luck, so I kept moving locations. Finally, I chose the top-class spot, "Shimada Bridge" Although it was more than two weeks after the season opened, I surprisingly had the place all to myself. At dusk, I caught a series of large ayu! I enjoyed the beautiful ayu typical of the Tsukechi River, and the powerful pull when they bit in the rapids.
