Agnes Moorehead (this time she does a believable southern accent) goes overboard when she answers a chain letter. She then purposely sends a copy to a poor simple-minded guy. Unfortunately for Agnes the guy's wife has been sick and she dies the very next day! Naturally he blames Agnes, so now he is out to get her! Adding to the dark setting the weather is lousy . . . In fact, it's one of the worst rain storms ever and it's causing flash floods (isolating poor Agnes in her home!) There's a couple of sub-plots going on too, which makes the story even better.
