Concierto de Aranjuez - Brass Quintet
Concierto de Aranjuez is a guitar concerto by Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo (1939). The Adagio movement is arranged here for brass quintet, featuring solo flugelhorn (inspired by the film "Brassed Off"). As a young player, this piece of music introduced me to the beautiful warm sound of the flugelhorn. It was a great pleasure to finally have the opportunity to perform this. I hope it's not too wobbly ;-) Instrumentation: Trumpet, 2 Trombones, Solo Flugelhorn, and Tuba. In the video I play the Tuba part on my Flugelhorn down two octaves.
