It's been a while since we last introduced Edox. Edox began developing waterproof watches in the early 1950s. In 1961, Edox invented and patented the revolutionary "Double O-Ring" waterproofing mechanism. The Double O-Ring, thanks to its double-gasket crown system, achieved 200m of water resistance without the need for a screw-down crown. The original "Delphin," Edox's first diver's watch, was released in 1961 and featured this double O-Ring. The "Delphin Meccano Automatic" is an evolved version of the "Delphin," released in 2020. A key feature of this Delphin is its first fully skeletonized design. Another notable feature is the openwork dial, featuring Edox's signature hourglass design. Next on our list is the Skydiver. The Skydiver was originally developed by a Swiss Army colonel, who secretly commissioned Edox to develop it. It began as a tough, high-spec military model for the colonel's elite parachute troops, designed for use in any environment, on land, sea, or air. The Skydiver was reissued in 2019, Edox's 135th anniversary. Furthermore, in 2021, the Skydiver Neptunian Automatic was released as a high-end model with 1000m saturation diving water resistance. Originally, this collection was born as the "Class 1," inspired by Class 1, the pinnacle of powerboat racing. It has since been renamed the "Chrono Offshore 1."
