Odor-concentrated areas form within specific volumes in the air. 3️⃣ SSS Model (Specific Soluble Substance) While the cellular extracts that settle at the bottom of the tube after centrifugation and the supernatant alone produce limited odor, when combined, especially in the mouth, they create a much more intense odor. This model explains how biochemical interactions increase odor intensity. 4️⃣ Residual Saliva Model Salival, which coats the oral mucosa, acts as a buffer during the passage of odor gases into the oral cavity.
