LTspice Tutorial 40: Precision adjustable voltage regulator using LT317A simulated using LTspicetool
The LT317A maintains approximately 1.25 V between its OUT and ADJ pins. The output voltage is normally. However, in your circuit: R1 = 121 Ω R2 = 121 Ω The bottom of R2 is not grounded. Instead it is connected to an LT1009 precision 2.5 V reference diode. Why use LT1009 because If the ADJ network were connected directly to ground, the output would be about 2.5 V. By lifting the resistor divider with a very accurate 2.5 V reference, the regulator produces a very accurate 5 V output. #ltspice #LT317 #regulator #divider #circuitsimulation #tutorials Music by Bensound.com/free-music-for-videos License code: EACQJQNT5MZU6KUF Artist: : Lunar Years
