Spelling Power Update: My Thoughts and Helpful Tips Part 1

Here is the long awaited update on my thoughts about Spelling Power. Remember tho-what works for us may not work for you. These are solely my ideas and well-you simply may not agree. That's OK....we all do stuff differently...but if you are looking for something (like I was) that could help the child(ren) retain the material-this may be the answer. UPDATE added here to explain something on my heart..... I used this program in my own way, which did veer slightly off the recommended way to use/teach the program as noted by the author/publisher. That caused their feathers to ruffle a bit-and I have no issue with their pointing out their system and why they have it set up as it is (I believe in part one there is a comment from them or maybe in the second vid, IDK and I'm not going hunting for it) but I still stand by how we used it. I saw results with my dyslexic son and it worked they way he needed it to. SO don't be afraid to tweak a program to suit your child's needs. YOU KNOW them best. Actually, it was after much confusion on many people's parts as to how to really use this program, and their pleas for clarification/help that I decided to share how we used it. Please keep in mind- I never followed any program exactly if it wasn't working quite right-ever! I still was able to have my students glean the benefits from any curriculum-and that is over 25+ years/4 successful high school graduates of homeschooling talking here. Frankly, I stand by how we used this to help our son learn to spell. Please read the instructions and go from there. Because I have to list this as "for kids" I cannot take anymore comments, but I def. wanted to point that out.
