Some anatomical characteristics of carp: They are cold-blooded, herbivorous, and carnivorous. They can crush food with their pharyngeal teeth. They have the ability to detect and smell even low-level chemicals such as amino acids. They can easily detect food under the mud. They have taste receptors in many areas, including their dorsal fin, breast, whiskers, and lips. They can identify food with their lateral line sense. Plankton Arthropod crustaceans such as crayfish, crabs, etc. Insects and insect larvae, daphnia, etc. Worms Mollusks, mussels, worms, oysters, snails, etc. Algae (water algae) Academic research on carp has shown that: In the fall, they feed primarily on phytoplankton and crustaceans. In the summer, they feed primarily on algae and crustaceans. In the winter, they consume a predominantly animal-based diet. In the spring, they are less inclined to consume animal products than previously thought, and their plant-based diet remains at nearly equal levels. Water Algae (algae) Contain proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. They are rich in polysaccharides and are a source of potassium and phosphorus. They convert carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates under the influence of light, thereby increasing both their nutritional value and the dissolved oxygen in the water. Aquatic plants absorb carbon dioxide from the air during the day and release oxygen into the water. The healthiest oxygen for fish is the oxygen they obtain from aquatic plants. Plankton: Small plants and animals that float or move on the water. They release oxygen into both the water and the air through waves. They are divided into two groups: phytoplankton and zooplankton. They are protein sources and are the primary natural food of carp. They provide 50% of the world's oxygen. Mussels: For example, carp of a certain age, weighing over 4 kg, can only crack mussel shells with their pharyngeal teeth. They can be used in all seasons, and are most recommended during the winter months. They are one of the most commonly used natural baits for carp. Products are available on the market for use in boilies and are widely used. Crayfish: As mentioned earlier, their shells contain chitin. 46% chitin, 40% calcium carbonate, and 7% calcium phosphate. It contains calcium, one of the most important minerals for carp. They need to renew their shells for growth, but their shells don't. Therefore, they molt 5-8 times in their first year, 3-4 times in their second year, and 1-2 times in their third year. Females molt once a year during adolescence, and males molt twice a year. During this period, they are completely defenseless for 5-7 days. This molt usually occurs in the spring. A wide variety of products are available for carp bait and boilies and can be used year-round. Use is particularly recommended during spring. Crab: They molt during mating season, which occurs during spring and early summer, depending on the species. May and June are the most careless months. They emerge from their burrows when the water reaches 12 degrees Celsius. They contain an average of 79% protein, 13% fat, and 2% carbohydrates. 7 24 Fishing Mehmet Taş Fishing
