Many people in corporate know Faisal Bhai, while many others do not. Because he is a very publicity-averse, private person. He managed a big brand like Rupchanda, the country's most popular edible oil brand, for a long time, but even then he never wrote about marketing and branding anywhere. He did write a book on marketing in English, though! He passed out from IBA at DU and joined GP, then he was at Berger Paints, was at Edible Oil (Rupchanda) as Head of Marketing for about 10 years. Then he was at Samsung, and now he is at Square. In total, Faisal Bhai's career is about 18-19 years old! So I brought him to my podcast mainly to chat about Rupchanda, i.e. the edible oil market, its branding, local corporate practices, MNC and domestic company culture, etc. Hopefully, viewers and listeners will learn something that they may not have known before. Although uploaded as the 2nd episode, Faisal Bhai was the first guest on my podcast. And for this shoot, he came to our studio twice with a smile, he is such a gentleman!
