Riding Toward a Legacy: What I Really Leave Behind

There comes a day in every man's life when he realizes the trail ahead is shorter than the one behind. Maybe it is the morning you take a little longer to climb onto your motorbike and set off for another adventure. Maybe you are riding with your son like I am in this video and realize he is now taking the lead in planning. And that feels different because you always took the leadership role when hitting the trails. But it feels right. You have wanted this all along. He is part of your legacy. After years of riding the trails on adventure and dual sport motorcycles things are starting to slow down. What will be remembered of you when you can no longer fire up that motor and ride off like you used to? When you take off the riding boots and hang up the helmet for the last time? Your children loved ones and friends will inherit your legacy. Not money and possessions are of real value but rather life lessons learned along the way and passed on. In this video I discuss the attributes that riding the trail teaches and that you can pass on. Riding many different trails over the years with my son is the highlight of this video and back drop of how to ride toward a legacy worth leaving behind.
