Then some of it is sent to dry in special dryers, some will remain in the stacks and will dry out on the street. If you buy a board of natural moisture for 15 thousand - you are sold exactly the one in the stacks, although it may be like in my case - from a fresh winter damp pile. In any case, the board is damp and heavy, and if it has dried out, its dimensions in different planes are very different even within the frame of one 6-meter board, and it is better not to compare boards with each other. And if you buy a dry board, which on average now costs about 20 thousand rubles per cubic meter and hope that something will be very different there - I will disappoint you. Yes, the board after the dryer is already light and has acquired its almost final dimensions, but it has shrunk as with natural drying unevenly, its sections are wandering and the curvature a la sabre or helicopter has not gone away. But there is a third option - better. Take a dry planed board. In terms of price, it costs about 24-25 thousand rubles per cubic meter now. As a result, you get the same dry board, which no longer decreases in size, and at the same time it is almost ideal and stable in all sizes/sections (in fact, of course, in the Russian Federation they can slip a bad board here too, you have to look) And do not forget that you pay for a cube of already planed board, so in cubes you will also need 5% less of it, and this will save about a cube of board on the construction of an average house. The option of a raw board is a special way, but if you choose between dry and dry planed, then for a difference of 40-60 thousand rubles you will get a completely different result. You will not be able to waste time on: sorting boards by sections planing boards through a planer, which you still need to buy. one plane won't do here leveling the walls and floor with shims during finishing (or not looking at your crooked walls if you're too lazy to level them) All this will save a couple of weeks of work and your nerves (or your team's), which costs much more than these 40-60 thousand rubles. Among the disadvantages of SS boards - you need to press the insulation a little harder, the spans need to be made a little smaller, in general, in practice, there are almost none. If, of course, you are in no hurry at all and are just building for pleasure, then of course you can repeat my path with buying 20 tons of raw timber, stacking it in piles, which took me a week, buying awnings, drying the boards in a pile for two or three months, and then planing it in a planer, and then you can save about 100 thousand and perhaps even enjoy the process. But this is not for everyone. If you want to build a house faster and better - there is only planed board, and in comparison with it, dry board is money down the drain.
