INTRODUCING ONESELF IN FRENCH | FEF PROJECT APFO - UGANDA (Audiovisuals)

This video, produced under the Fonds Équipe France (FEF) project, features Muruingi, a Ugandan student, introducing himself in French: “Bonjour, je m’appelle Muruingi, j’habite à Kampala avec ma famille, j’aime le français, c’est intéressant.” It is part of a series of contextualised audiovisuals designed for Ugandan classrooms, helping learners practice French through authentic, everyday situations. These resources are meant to impress upon teachers and students that French is not only an academic subject but also a language of communication, creativity, and opportunity. Thanks to the leadership of Dr Agathe Tumwine, President of APFO, and her team, these materials involve key stakeholders — DEOs, ASSHU, headteachers — and are supported by campaigns across mainstream and social media. Together, they strengthen the promotion of French in Uganda and provide teachers with practical tools to engage learners.
