The Duisburg Mafia Murders: In 2007, six young men were executed in the middle of the night in Duisburg's city center. The crime was an act of revenge between two mafia clans that had been feuding for years. The perpetrators and victims were members of the Calabrian mafia organization 'Ndrangheta. There were repeated fatal clashes between the Nirta Strangio and Pelle Vottari clans. This crime in Duisburg is unusual, even for the mafia. Such a crime had never been committed abroad before.
