Agostino Di Bartolomei - 63 goals in Serie A (part 1/2): 1-35 (Roma 1973-1981)

Agostino Di Bartolomei, born 8 April 1955 in Rome (Italy). 351 games and 63 goals in Serie A, playing as midfielder with Roma, Milan and Cesena. From 1972 to 1988 he played 15 Serie A seasons (11 with Roma), winning 1 Serie A, 3 Coppa Italia and finishing runner-up in 1983/84 European Cup. Di Bartolomei suffered from clinical depression in his later years, and committed suicide by shooting himself in his villa in San Marco di Castellabate, on May 30, 1994, ten years to the day after Roma had lost the European Cup final to Liverpool on penalties. Famed for his elegance on the ball and playmaking skills, he is regarded as one of AS Roma's greatest players ever, and one of the greatest players never to have been capped by the Italian national team.
