The ACA Workplace Laundry List: A Therapist Simplifies the Adult Children of Alcoholics Literature

Follow along on page 417 of the ACA Big Red Book (BRB). Let's look into some of the mechanisms at play that give these traits our distress and power over us. Coming to you from a healthy, non-workplace environment. The Workplace Laundry List is literature in the Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunction (ACA, ACoA, ACAD) fellowship. It identifies and outlines core traits/reactions of the Adult Child in vocational environments. These traits mirror and expand upon the 14 core ACA Laundry List traits. Understanding these traits helps you to gain self kindness and self compassion in the workplace.  After all, who isn't easily triggered by an authority figure? And how do you manage when you have a trauma response while on the clock?  Do you go to Alcoholics Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous or AlAnon? All roads eventually lead to ACA.
