HEATED FLOOR IN SHOWER!!! - How To Install SCHLUTER DITRA-HEAT

Don't you wish your tile installer offered you the option to install a heated floor system in your shower? Well, odds are he didn't know about it because he isn't WATCHING TILECOACH ON YOUTUBE!!! So...you may need to share this video with him. Or, if you are a tile installer you may need to watch this video so you can offer it as one of your upgrades. Heated tile floors, especially in the colder climates is an energy efficient way to produce the most comfortable heat you will ever feel! Instead of forcing hot, dry, air out of heat ducts-- radiant heat warms from the floor up. Not only will your tile floor be warm and cozy, but the whole bathroom will be heated. Even in the Sacramento valley where we live and outside temperatures reach over 100 degrees in the summer, we usually leave our heated floors on in the bathrooms from late October to April -- which is over 7 months out of the year that they are in use. This video covers the entire process, from the installation of the membrane to the layout of the cable. The only thing not covered in this video (because we have not installed it yet) is the thermostat hook up. Once I get that video done, I will post a link here so you can see it. Unless I forget to.
